Symposium Director
Robert Gerwin MD, FAAN, is a board certified neurologist who had a private clinic for the practice of neurology and neuromuscular pain medicine in Bethesda, MD and who had a neuromuscular pain clinic in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD where he was Associate Professor of Neurology on the part-time faculty. Dr. Gerwin is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Medicine. After completing military duty he had a fellowship at the NIH in neuroimmunology. He is past president of the International Myopain Society. He is retired but still active as section editor of musculoskeletal pain for the journal Pain Medicine. He remains active in teaching and in research.
